In this course, we will go through a smart way to build your estimate database and fast and accurately estimate your projects with Geometra. Set price and time for your rows and get complete estimates straight from Geometra. Focus is on “measure once” and reuse as much as possible from your objects. Reusing data will save time and make getting a good overview of your project easier.

Suppose you work with a different cost estimation tool for prices and materials. In that case, using the rows in Geometra is an efficient way to transfer data in a more structured and processable format. Exporting rows from Geometra will also speed up your work in other tools.

Prerequisites for the course are general knowledge of 2D/PDF takeoff in Geometra as we will be using this as our examples. If you use 3D/IFC with Geometra, you can follow the same principles. We will also take a quick look at 3D/IFC and how to link objects to your estimate. For more details on 3D/IFC, please check our other courses.
