26 fixes in Geometra's latest update
We've released 26 bug fixes in Geometra that affect you as a user – within measuring, labels, export, templates and estimate rows.
Fixes — high priority
• Fixed: exports in Finnish now use a comma as the decimal separator instead of following the English format.
• Fixed: the clickable area for moving an object point now matches the size of the marker shown on screen. Previously the target was smaller than it looked, so dragging a point often moved the whole object or started a selection box instead.
• Fixed: activating Wikells as the calculation tool now switches on row autocomplete automatically, matching how Bidcon already behaved.
• Fixed: custom sizes entered for area, line and ellipse measurements are now accepted, including typed decimals.
• Fixed: typing "&" in a folder name no longer acts as if Enter was pressed and moves the cursor to the search box. Folder names such as "Fönster & Dörrar" can now be typed straight through.
• Fixed: points can again be added to and removed from objects on multi-page PDFs.
• Fixed: holding ALT now disables snapping for the first point you place, not only for the points after it.
• Fixed: the estimate-row filter (funnel icon) now resets when you switch project. Previously the filter carried over, so annotations in the new project could look like they had no rows at all, with only the small green funnel icon hinting at why.
• Fixed: entering or confirming a scale length no longer triggers an error. Setting scales now works reliably.
Fixes
• Fixed: the suggested filename when exporting a PDF now keeps periods in the drawing name instead of cutting it short, and the "(1 page)" suffix is no longer added for single-page drawings. Multi-page drawings still get the page count, e.g. "drawing(3 pages).pdf".
• Fixed: creating a new project while a search is active now assigns the next number based on all projects, not just the ones matching the search. Project numbers no longer come out of order.
• Fixed: when section heights are used, the height label now shows each section's own height instead of the object height.
• Fixed: the snap toggle is now available in the select toolbar when a scale is selected.
• Fixed: when perimeter is used, the NVO label now shows the same value as the estimate rows instead of the original measurement.
• Fixed: the Highlight tool can now be used to mask content — a white highlight at 100% opacity fully hides what is underneath. Previously white highlights had no visible effect at any opacity. Existing translucent coloured highlights are unchanged.
• Fixed: drawing a new annotation while a search is active no longer makes it vanish before you can name it. It now stays visible with its prefilled name, the properties panel opens with the name field focused, and it is filtered out as normal once you have named it or moved on.
• Fixed: saving an object as a template now keeps the text and information entered in chapters. Previously that content was dropped from the saved template.
• Fixed: changing the decimal settings now updates labels already drawn on the drawing straight away. Previously existing labels kept the old number of decimals until you selected or zoomed the annotation — most visible when opening older projects.
• Fixed: typing a space in an estimate-row field no longer switches the drawing tool in the PDF viewer.
• Fixed: pressing space while editing a text (FreeText) annotation or a dropdown no longer switches the active drawing tool.
• Fixed: the properties panel now opens for a newly drawn annotation while a search is active, so it can be named right away.
Minor fixes
• Fixed: exporting a PDF with border size set to 0 no longer leaves a faint border visible in some PDF readers. The border colour is now removed entirely rather than drawn at a near-zero size.
• Fixed: changing the opacity of an area measurement now updates on the drawing immediately, without needing a refresh.
• Fixed: selecting an object near the top of the view now scrolls just enough to reveal its rotation handle, which was previously cut off above the visible area.
• Fixed: the "scale is set" icon now appears in the Drive as soon as the scale is set, instead of only after opening a preview of the drawing.
• Fixed: after removing a variable label, the reduction value on the area label is shown with the correct number of decimals.
