Templates

Creating Templates can significantly increase your speed when working with projects.

Geometra has folder templates for both Drive and Estimate respectively. You can access them from either view under the more menu in the toolbar and going to ‘Import Templates’. The top choice named ‘Templates’ will open the dialogue for where you can create and edit them.

Creating a Template

Creating a template is very simple and starts by clicking ‘New Template’. On the left pane, you can see all your templates and can click the … button to bring up your options.

On the right pane, you will see the currently selected template and can add and edit folders. Add a folder to your structure by first selecting which folder you wish to create a subfolder in, then click add. You can re-arrange the folders by using drag ’n’ drop. To edit a folder double click the name and for estimate templates, you can also double click ‘Nr/Tag’.

Inserting a Template

When you wish to insert a template into either Drive or Estimate you must first start by selecting from which folder in the current setup you wish to insert the templates. This makes it possible to use several templates in the same project that can fulfil different roles and you can also import the same template over and over to use for as an example different floors or buildings in your estimate.

Shared across Organisation

Templates for Folders are shared across your organisation, so be careful when making changes or deleting them as you will edit or remove permanently for all your colleagues as well.
