Rendering

When uploading an IFC model it will first have to be processed by our servers to be able to render in the app. This process can take anything from a few seconds to up to 15 minutes depending on the complexity of the model. Once the model completes its processing on the server it will change from a spinning icon to a cube, this means you can now open the file and start viewing your 3D model.

Errors and Failed processing

Sometimes we will not be able to process the IFC file and this will result in an error being displayed on both the file icon and the error message will appear in the properties pane.

Geometra has support for IFC2, IFC2x3 and IFC4 and if your model is any of these and still fails to process correctly, we would very much like to get a copy of the model to use for developing better support.

Errors can occur when uploading a file with the incorrect extension, incorrect IFC-version, or any corrupt data.

We do not apply any restriction to upload size for models but be aware that the larger the model the longer both loading and processing times will be.
