Working with 2D, 3D and BIM in Geometra
Whether you are old school or high tech Geometra is still an excellent option. Use our quantity takeoff features with ease and get off to a flying start!
From 2D/PDF drawings
Geometra has a powerful PDF and document engine that allows you to load complex drawings and documents in your project. The tools are simple to use and mimic how we worked on paper drawings and digitisers.
Select a tool, point and click and voila! All values are made available and tagged with variables so you can use them in estimation rows and create more complex formulas for calculating, kind of like a spreadsheet.
Lightning fast 3D/IFC engine
Upload your models to your project. Geometra will pre-process them into a format that accurately represents the model while allowing for a fast and smooth experience when viewing and navigating IFC models. Link parts of your model to your estimate and add rows to generate prices and production times.
Models take up a large amount of storage, so all Geometra projects have unlimited cloud storage per project.

Structured and reusable
Define a good project structure, store it as a template and reuse it to keep a consistent process for establishing the bill of quantities for all of your projects. Consistency makes for easy and efficient collaboration in small teams and large enterprises.
Export your data
Creating your bill of quantities might require you to work with other software solutions and Geometra. Once you’ve completed your work in Geometra, you can choose one of the many exports to bring that data along to keep working on it or send it off to someone.
